Two Examples of Foil Stamping on Black
Left: Was a die run with gold shiny foil on black coated cove. The coted cover is superb in
accepting the foil and creates a clean upbeat look.
Right: This was entirely set with in house hot metal type using Ludlow typesetting in Steller Bold,
Mayfair Cursive and Ultra Modern. It was foil stamped using shiny silver foil on Howard Linen.
Because the paper stock is not coated the shiny silver is more subtle and allows for ease of
reading. Not using dies made this invitation an excellent value for the client.

| This is a Hot Foil Stamped Invitation In our hot stamping process we use foundry type or in this case Ludlow typesetting. The metal type is standing in relief and is then presses into the paper. In this example Admiral Script set on the Ludlow line caster was used. The gold is a mat gold which gives an elegant almost burnished look Ribbon and mounting was completed in our shop |
